ConnectingSalesforcewithSAPBRIMforConcurCore
Sales data needs to reach the subscription platform in a form it can process. For SAP’s internal Concur Core program, Codemine specialists contributed SAP AIF architecture and ABAP development leadership to connect Salesforce with SAP BRIM Subscription Order Management (SOM).

AIF became the layer where Salesforce quotes turn into SAP subscription data, built on one framework that every interface developer on the team used the same way.
01
Context
Concur sells through Salesforce, while the commercial side of its contracts is processed in SAP’s internal finance engine, SAP BRIM. The Concur Core program is responsible for the integration layer between the two.
AIF was introduced into an existing, brownfield landscape. The integration team therefore had to fit new interfaces into running systems and, at the same time, set the way interfaces would be built from then on.
02
The challenge
The program needed to translate Salesforce XML messages into SAP S/4HANA data structures and support the processing of solution quotes in SOM. The scope covered both integration through SAP CPI and manual file uploads.
Introducing AIF into an existing landscape also required a consistent approach to interface development. The integration had to fit the surrounding systems while giving developers reusable processing patterns and support teams access to AIF monitoring.
03
Our approach
- 01
AIF as the mediation layer
SAP AIF was designed as the core mediation layer between Salesforce and SAP BRIM SOM. Every message from the sales side passes through it before it reaches subscription processing.
- 02
Complex Salesforce XML mapping
Complex AIF interfaces transform Salesforce XML into SAP S/4HANA data structures, so that solution quotes arrive in SOM in a form the subscription process can use.
- 03
Two entry routes, one processing logic
AIF handles messages arriving from SAP CPI as well as solution quote files uploaded manually. The CPI integration flows were set up and maintained as part of the same work.
- 04
An ABAP Objects framework for the team
A custom integration framework in ABAP OO, built on object-oriented design patterns, gives developers reusable processing logic instead of starting each interface from scratch.
- 05
Team leadership and monitoring
The scope included ABAP/AIF development leadership, best practices and AIF guidance for the whole project. AIF Fiori apps were set up so support users can monitor message processing.
04
Results
A structured connection between sales and subscription processing
Salesforce data was transformed into structures used by SAP S/4HANA SOM.
Support for automated and file-based inputs
AIF covered CPI-to-S/4HANA integration and manual solution quote uploads.
Reusable development foundations
An ABAP Objects framework and shared design patterns supported interface implementation.
Monitoring through Fiori
AIF applications gave support users an interface for monitoring message processing.
